Pfizer First Resource is a comprehensive reimbursement and patient assistance program designed to help patients gain access to the medicines they need. The program helps patients with reimbursement support, including appeals, and—in some cases—alternate funding assistance. First Resource is staffed by trained counselors who are available to provide assistance to those in need.
The following medicines are available through the First Resource program:- Aromasin® (exemestane tablets)
- Camptosar® (irinotecan HCI injection)
- Ellence® (epirubicin hydrochloride injection)
- Emcyt® (estramustine phosphate sodium capsules)
- Idamycin® (Idarubicin HCl)
- Sutent® (sunitinib malate)
- Zinecard® (dexrazoxane for injection)
A First Resource counselor can help determine if you
are eligible for the program. To be eligible, a patient
must- Have no prescription coverage or not
have enough coverage
- Meet specific income guidelines,
adjusted for family size
- Be a resident of the US, Puerto Rico,
or the US Virgin Islands
- Be treated by a licensed physician in the US, Puerto Rico,
or the US Virgin Islands

First Resource counselors are happy to assist you. You can speak
with a First Resource counselor in English or Spanish by calling
1-877-744-5675, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 8 PM ET.In addition to serving
US residents, First Resource is now available to residents of
Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands
Your total gross annual household income must be at or below 2 times the federal
poverty level (see below chart).
- Total number of persons in household includes yourself and those for whom you are
financially responsible
- Total Gross Income includes incomes from all earners in the household before taxes
and deductions
